i know i don't write or submit here often, but for some reason i came here to express my excitement.

being 19, this was the first presidential election i was eligible to vote in...and i must say, no matter what the outcome was, it was very exciting to have my first election be such a historic and amazing one. that being said...i am so excited that i helped elect the first african-american president. i am excited for change, and when that man speaks it seems like the world is possible. we need change, and we're going to get it. i can't wait to tell my children some day, when they read about it in their history books, that i was part of something so big.

i don't even like politics that much, but i can't even begin to describe the feelings of exhilaration i am feeling right now.
